Douglas Ross MP is the Leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party. He has served as the MP for his home constituency of Moray since 2017. Prior to this, he represented the Highlands and Islands region as an MSP from 2016 and as a local Moray councillor for 10 years. He is married to Krystle, a police sergeant in Elgin, and they have a one year old son, Alistair.
In his free time, Douglas is a qualified Football Referee officiating games for the Scottish FA, UEFA and FIFA. Prior to entering politics Douglas was a dairyman and he worked on the same farm as his father near Forres.
Douglas attended Alves Primary and Forres Academy before studying at the Scottish Agricultural College at Auchincruive in Ayr.
Douglas is excited to become a Scottish Conservative friends of BAME ambassador and to work with SCBAME to achieve the aim of making our party more representative of the Scotland that the Scottish Conservatives seek to represent.
